Morgan Family Reunion

Wow, what a fun weekend! All our family from all over came (we missed Petersons and some cousins though!) Mitch and Jaci had their open house Saturday night with Uncle Kevin's famous tri-tip and weather that tried to hold out until the last minute! Mitch and Jaci are the perfect match and we welcome her with lots of love!

Jay and I had the privilege of having his parents, siblings and their spouses over to chat, play the wii (0f course!) and just let the cousins play together. I haven't seen Avery this happy since the last time her cousins were here from WA. She LOVES her girl cousins-she thinks they are her sisters!

On Sunday we went to church with Grandma and Grandpa Morgan in Nampa. They are celebrating their 60 wedding anniversary and Grandpa's 80th birthday! It was fun to give them the book that their grandchildren and great-grandchildren worked together to create. Grandma started crying before I even started presenting it and then I couldn't say anything I wanted! They are loving the stories and pictures-thank you to all who contributed!

We had a great time with our family and love them so much. Thanks for staying with us and we miss you already! Come and see us again real soon!

Father and Sons Overnighter

Earlier this month Jeremy took the boys on our ward's father and son's camp out. He will be the first to admit that he is not much of a camper, but he could not miss out on this great opportunity to spend time with his boys. They packed up their bikes, sleeping bags, food and items for s'mores and headed for the hills. Jeremy said his favorite part was watching Owen ride his bike around the trails all night and then hopping in the tent and snuggling up to his stinky boys. They had a great time and even though it was a few weeks ago they are all still talking about it. What a good dad!

Our Runners

This last weekend was the 1.2 mile Capitol Classic downtown race. Zack and Owen both participated and had a great time. After the race they were treated to a park full of string cheese, TCBY yogurt, race bottles, shoe laces, and many more free goodies. We always look forward to this event each Spring.

This kid can run! He can keep up with the big boys...and even beat a few! He improved his time by over 3 minutes from last year. He came in just over 7 minutes! We were really proud of him.

This was Owen's first race. He had such a fun time and did his best to run the whole way. His time was 11:41. He's so proud of himself and likes to wear his medal around town. What a cutie.

Tanner and Gavin are big runners as well and good friends of ours. I love these kids!

Avery had a great time as well hanging out on Daddy's shoulders. We went to the Saturday's Market while waiting for the race to start and tasted all kinds of yummies. She especially liked the cheese curds from one of the local vendors. It was a beautiful day!

Peanut Butter Face

This morning Zack walked into my room to show me his face covered in bubble gum. He had blown a bubble and, of course, it blew up all around his mouth. He had been trying to get it off with wet bathroom tissue so you can imagine the mess he left! We had some fun getting down to business to get the rascally sticky stuff off with...yep, PEANUT BUTTER! He thought it was great and that his mom was pretty stinkin' cool. Ah, victory for a day!

Day at the Park

Memorial Day was a great day with the kids. We went to the park, had a BBQ with some good friends, and went swimming. It was such a fun day and the kids were so well behaved. Don't you just love days like that?

Avery's Dance Recital

Avery had her very first ballet recital this last weekend. She had such a great time and did very well dancing on stage. She and four other ballerinas danced an adorable ballet to "Circus", hence the outfit! Daddy and I gave her a rose on stage after the recital and she has kept it beside her bed since. What a princess!
