Princess Parenting?

I thought this article was interesting. I was reminded of what we have been hearing in General Conference about our Age of Entitlement. Please read and share your thoughts:

    I suppose there will always be bad things and good things that come out of obsessions.
    "When they get an attitude, that's when it's time to take a bath or eat dinner"
    That might be a time when a parent might also start to ween kids from their obsession. :-D I'm not really sure!!!
    This is a good idea though!:
    "she also hopes parents will focus on positive princess traits, such as being compassionate and trustworthy."

    I saw this article, too. I think the best way to prevent the Princess syndrome is to raise a daughter with brothers. Not that you get much choice in the matter, but seriously, they don't dig that princess stuff and it rubs off on the sister.

    I know my comment doesn't really address the article. The problem is with parenting.
    When parents learn to say no, dish out chores and use a little more discipline...Problem solved.

    Jus my 2 cents. :)
